Swindon Turf Direct’s Grades Of Turf
As experienced turf farmers Swindon Turf Direct have experimented with countless seed mixes and grades of turf. Through that time we believe we’ve found the ideal blend of ingredients to produce two grades of turf that reflect the needs and budgets of our client base.
Regular
Both of our grades of turf are ornamental and resilient. Our regular grade is sold at a lower price point and offers great VFM. It is suitable for family gardens that are used for social gatherings, kicking the ball around with the kids and otherwise high levels of footfall. It is ideal for residential clients. This turf has been the grade of choice for building contractors needing turf in Swindon and Wiltshire for a generation.
Evergreen
Our Evergreen grade of turf is more ornamental than other options. With a blend of perennial rye and creeping fescues this grade is more shade tolerant. The slightly higher price point reflects that. We’ve used this grade at Golf Clubs, university grounds and country estates.
Please be aware our prices points will vary through the year based on demand. There are times one grade of turf is sold out, and the condition of the turf will vary based on the time of the year. The turf purchased at the height of summer, for example, may differ from turf bought in winter. That said our price points tend to start at £3.00 upwards.
